CCHS Christmas Fayre – Meeting Thursday 5th Oct 6.30pm

Planning for the Currie Community High School Christmas Fayre is now underway, however I am disappointed to report that we have had very few volunteers. In fact at the first meeting only TWO parents turned up to help, plus a few more contacted me to offer their time. We have 700 students at CCHS so I’m sure there must be more of you out there able to help?

The Christmas Fayre will not take place unless we get more volunteers, this includes volunteers for planning as well as on the day

If you can’t make it don’t worry you can still help – look at the list below and let me know what you would like to help with and we will get you signed up.

The Fayre takes place each year to raise funds to be spent within Currie Community High School.

As you will no doubt be aware funding received from Edinburgh Council is sparse, therefore the funding we provide is a huge help for teachers to buy resources they could not otherwise afford. The result is a better learning experience for all our young people at the school.

Recently we distributed funds help Modern Languages, Maths, Art, Drama and HFT.

All we ask for a little of your time, where hopefully you will have the opportunity to meet other parents and have some Christmas fun.

So please let me know if you can assist me in creating a great Christmas Fayre.

I need help with the following –

Donations – can you ask a local business for a donation – are you able to provide any prizes?

Sell Raffle tickets to family and friends

Help Susan Gillies coordinate the raffle

Christmas Café

I am looking for someone to run this  – a bit of planning and manage on the day

Volunteers to prep the café and work on the day

Santa’s Grotto

To organise and run the grotto on the day

To help our students design and make this a wonderful experience for our young visitors.

PiP Stalls

Money making ideas for stalls to maximise our fund raising

Volunteers for the day – just 90 mins of your time to help the Fayre run smoothly and enjoy

You can contact me using the PiP email address
